Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out the conditions for using the Recycle Hunter Official Shop (https://shop.recyclehunter.com, the “Site”) operated by Recycle Hunter (“we”, “us”). By placing an order on the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Seller

2. Products

Most products are used equipment that we have purchased and inspected in Japan. Please check the condition and accessories in the description and photos. Only the items shown in the photos are included. Each item is one of a kind, so only one unit is in stock.

3. Japanese specifications

Most items are made for the Japanese market. They are usually designed for 100 V (50/60 Hz) power and Japanese plugs, and displays, labels and manuals may be in Japanese. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm that the item can be used at the installation site, including voltage, frequency, transformers, plugs, radio regulations and other local rules. Please ask us before ordering if you are unsure.

4. Orders and contract

A sales contract is formed when we send you the order confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order (for example, because the item has already sold), we will contact you and refund the full amount.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars on each product page. Prices do not include US import duties, taxes or customs fees, which are paid by the buyer. Shipping to the United States is free (see our Shipping Policy). Payment methods are those shown at checkout.

6. Shipping

Standard items are shipped from Kyoto within 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed. Large machines take about 1–4 weeks to ship because they need crating and freight arrangements.

7. Returns, exchanges and cancellations

Because our items are used, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. Initial defects and damage in transit are handled as described in our Refund Policy. As a rule, orders cannot be cancelled after they are confirmed.

8. Prohibited conduct

Orders using false information, bulk orders for resale purposes, acts that interfere with the operation of the Site, and any other illegal acts are prohibited.

9. Personal information

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

Except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of a product. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the price paid for the product.

11. Changes, governing law and jurisdiction

We may change these Terms when necessary. Changes take effect when posted on the Site. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Kyoto District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute relating to the Site. If the English version and the Japanese version differ, the Japanese version prevails.
