The Schmidt test hammer can be used to take measurements by placing it directly against any point on a wide range of completed structures.
It can assess the aging of concrete without damaging it, making it ideal for quality control.
Concrete strength is estimated based on rebound strength (elastic rebound). By reading the rebound strength on a pre-prepared graph, the compressive strength of concrete can be determined within a deviation range of a standard deviation of 28 kg/cm2.
The Schmidt test hammer reliably measures surface hardness.
Its simple design requires no special operating skills and allows for quick measurements.
The Schmidt test hammer NR type is a state-of-the-art, nondestructive concrete strength testing instrument equipped with a device that automatically records the rebound value (R).
Since the rebound values are recorded automatically, the time and effort involved in reading and writing down measurements in a notebook are eliminated, as are errors in reading or recording measurements that can occur when reading them visually.
The chart paper with automatically recorded measurements can also be used as a certificate of test results at a later date.
