For FTTH home installations and LAN connection projects, a simple-to-handle and highly reliable optical fiber cleaver is required. We have developed an optical fiber cleaver that significantly reduces operating steps and allows for handheld use. It is also equipped with the fiber scrap collection function that has been well-received in conventional models.
The main unit features a shape designed for an easy grip, allowing for handheld cutting in the various installation environments expected for terminal connections. At the same time, because the unit can be inserted into closures, it enables cutting even when there is little slack in the optical fiber.
●Compact and Lightweight
The weight of the unit has been reduced to approximately 330g, achieving about 2/3 the weight of conventional optical fiber cleavers.
●Portability
Being compact and lightweight, it can be easily carried to various installation sites. A strap can be attached to the unit, and by wearing it around your wrist, you can prevent accidental drops. It can also be hung around the neck using a neck strap.
●Operability
While conventional optical fiber cleavers required separate actions for "cutting," "fiber scrap collection," and "resetting," these tasks can now be performed with a single finger. After setting the fiber holder in the cleaver, simply closing the top cover and pushing the cutting lever completes the process, including fiber scrap collection, automatically. The cutting blade is reset automatically when the top cover is opened after cutting. This greatly reduces operation errors and improves work efficiency.
