Equipped with a Current-Feedback Amplification Circuit
The preamplifier and power amplifier sections employ the current-feedback amplification circuit consistently used in Marantz HiFi amplifiers. It is fast, low-distortion, and highly stable, faithfully amplifying wide-range signals from CD players to reproduce a natural soundstage.
Fully Discrete Amplifier Circuit and Input Buffer Circuit
Inherits the configuration from higher-end models, with independent preamplifier, power amplifier, and tone control blocks. The power amplifier features a fully discrete design for high power and high speed. The tone control uses an active filter type that prioritizes sound quality. The frequency response is completely flat at the center position. In addition, an input buffer circuit is equipped to improve the S/N ratio and channel separation.
Dual Speaker Output Terminals
Equipped with dual speaker output terminals that also support banana plugs, allowing for bi-wiring connections to speakers. Bi-wiring connections minimize the impact of reverse electromotive force generated by the low-frequency speaker units on the mid-high frequency speaker units. Two speaker systems can also be connected and selected for use.
Equipped with a Phono Equalizer Supporting MM Cartridges
Equipped with a phono equalizer that supports MM cartridges. An analog player can be connected directly, allowing you to enjoy records with ease.
Source Direct Function
Equipped with a source direct function that bypasses the tone control, loudness, and balance circuits. It enables high-quality playback while maintaining the purity of the music signal.
Loudness Function
It can naturally balance the low and high frequencies that may sound deficient when playing at low volumes.
Wireless Remote Control for Controlling Marantz Products
In addition to operating the PM5004, it comes with a wireless remote control (RC003PM) that can also operate Marantz CD players, tuners, DVD players, and cassette decks.
