The Schmidt test hammer can be applied directly to any desired point on a wide range of completed structures to obtain a measurement.
It can assess changes in concrete over time without damaging it, making it ideal for quality control.
Concrete strength is estimated based on rebound strength (elastic rebound). By consulting the pre-prepared chart for this rebound strength, concrete compressive strength can be determined within a standard deviation range of 28 kg/cm2.
The Schmidt test hammer can reliably measure surface hardness.
Its simple design requires no special operating skill and allows for quick measurements.
The Schmidt test hammer NR type is an advanced nondestructive concrete strength tester equipped with a device that automatically records the rebound value (R).
Since rebound values are recorded automatically, the time and effort required to read and note measurements are eliminated, as are misreadings or recording errors that can occur when reading values by eye.
The recording paper with automatically recorded measurements can also be used later as a certificate of test results.
