Multiple measurement functions in a compact unit

Meets a wide range of on-site measurement requirements.
Evaluation of optical fiber lines primarily involves assessing line loss with an optical pulse tester and measuring optical loss with a light source and optical power meter. The MT9082A can house an optical pulse tester, light source, optical power meter, and visible light source in one compact, lightweight unit. It provides all the measurement functions required for optical fiber installation and maintenance, eliminating the need to bring multiple instruments to the job site.
●Optical Power Meter Option
Three types of power meters are available. With the high-power sensor
option, measurements up to +30 dBm are possible.
●Visible Light Source Option
Used for visual identification of individual optical fibers and locating faults.
Optical pulse test/light source port
A range of wavelengths is available to suit different applications.
●Short dead zone of 1 m or less
Improved analysis performance for short-distance fibers
The MT9082A achieves an event dead zone of 1 m. It can analyze and identify connections inside buildings and locate faults that could not previously be analyzed.
●Dynamic range of up to 38.5 dB
Supports fiber lengths over 100 km
With a dynamic range of up to 38.5 dB, the MT9082A can evaluate optical fibers longer than 100 km.
●Built-in stabilized light source as standard
The optical pulse test port can also be used as a stabilized light source for optical power measurements.
●Save measurement results and display them in a results list
Measurement results can be recorded in a table and saved as a text file for use in spreadsheet software on a PC.
●Compact and lightweight
