The Radio Communication Analyzer MT8820A is a measuring instrument that incorporates dedicated measurement hardware and software to perform fast, comprehensive RF transmission/reception characteristic measurements and call connection tests for third-generation mobile phone terminals, including W-CDMA, all with a single unit.
Installing the software (MX882002A) on the MT8820A enables transmission/reception measurements for mobile phone terminals compliant with cdma2000 1X (IS-2000), allowing the main transmission/reception characteristics of cdma2000 1X (IS-2000) terminals to be evaluated quickly with a single unit.
Installing the software (MX882001A) on the MT8820A enables transmission/reception measurements for GSM- and GPRS-compliant mobile phone terminals, allowing the main transmission/reception characteristics of both GSM and GPRS terminals to be evaluated quickly with a single unit.
In addition, W-CDMA Voice Codec (MX882000A-01) and GSM Voice Codec (MX882001A-01) software are available to add real-time voice encoding/decoding functionality to the W-CDMA/GSM measurement software.
Installing the Parallel Phone Measurement Software and Parallel Phone Measurement Hardware allows the RF, AF, Ethernet, and GPIB ports for each of two ports to be controlled independently, enabling two mobile terminals of the same type to be connected and measured simultaneously. This helps increase mobile phone production capacity and reduce costs.
