Capable of measuring digital TV signals for VHF, UHF, BS, CS, and CATV. The LCN3A can also measure the CATV communication band (10-55MHz). Both models have been improved with high precision, allowing for the measurement of BER and MER values in addition to the industry-standard Maspro reception confirmation mark. Furthermore, they feature a constellation display function and interchangeable terminals, making them higher-performance and more multi-functional level checkers than previous models.
■ Background and Intent of Development
In terrestrial digital broadcasting, signal quality could deteriorate due to reflected waves or noise even if the reception level was adequate, sometimes resulting in no image. To address this, we equipped our devices with a high-precision, proprietary terrestrial digital reception confirmation mark feature that measures BER and MER values, which indicate signal quality, in addition to the reception level. We have also added a function to display MER numerically and visually via constellation.
Terrestrial Digital Reception Confirmation Mark Display Function (Patent Pending)
BER and MER values are critical for adjusting terrestrial digital broadcast antennas. This device displays a mark when these BER and MER values become optimal, ensuring precise antenna direction adjustment.
Constellation Display Function
By treating the signal transmitted from the broadcasting station as an ideal value and displaying it with a dot at the center of a square, you can visually grasp the quality of the MER based on how far the actually received signal deviates from the center.

On LCN3A and LCN3, if the power button is held for a long time (2 seconds or more), an error message (see symptoms) may appear and operation may become impossible. In this case, follow the steps below to restart the power. It will return to normal operation.
