Capable of measuring VHF, UHF, BS, CS, and CATV digital TV signals; the LCN3 model can also measure the CATV communication band (10-55MHz). Both models have been refined for high precision to measure BER and MER values in addition to Maspro's industry-standard signal reception confirmation mark. Furthermore, they feature a constellation display function, interchangeable terminals, and other advanced, multi-functional capabilities compared to previous models.
■ Background and Intent of Development
For terrestrial digital broadcasting, signal quality could sometimes deteriorate due to reflected waves or noise, resulting in image loss even when the reception level was adequate. To address this, we equipped this unit with our proprietary, high-precision terrestrial digital reception confirmation mark, which measures not only the reception level but also the BER and MER values that indicate signal quality. We also added a function to display MER both numerically and visually via a constellation diagram.
Terrestrial Digital Reception Confirmation Mark (Patent Pending)
BER and MER values are crucial for adjusting terrestrial digital antennas. This device displays a mark when these values are optimal, ensuring precise antenna alignment.
Constellation Display Function
By treating the signal transmitted from the station as an ideal value, the unit displays it as a dot at the center of a square. This allows you to visually gauge the quality of the MER based on how far the actual received signal deviates from the center.

[Regarding LCN3A/LCN3] How to handle the "VU TUNER ERR" message that appears when the power button is held too long:

On the LCN3A and LCN3, if the power button is held for too long (2+ seconds), an error message may appear, rendering the device inoperable. If this happens, follow the steps below to restart the power, and it will function normally again.

The following functions on models (LCV2, LCN3, LCN3A, LCN2, LCN2A) became unusable after June 1, 2014:
