Capable of measuring digital TV signals for VHF, UHF, BS, CS, and CATV. In addition to these, the LCN3A can also measure the CATV communication band (10–55 MHz). Both models have been enhanced for high precision, allowing for the measurement of BER and MER values in addition to Maspro's highly-regarded reception confirmation mark. Furthermore, they offer superior performance and multifunctionality compared to previous models, featuring a constellation display and swappable terminals.
■ Background and Purpose of Development
With terrestrial digital broadcasting, signal quality could sometimes deteriorate due to reflected waves or noise, even if the reception level was adequate, preventing proper image display. To address this, we have incorporated our proprietary high-precision terrestrial digital reception confirmation mark function, which can measure signal quality (BER and MER) in addition to reception levels. We have also added a function to visualize MER through numerical values and a constellation display.
Terrestrial Digital Reception Confirmation Mark Function (Patent Pending)
BER and MER values are crucial for adjusting terrestrial digital broadcast antennas. This device displays a mark when these BER and MER values reach optimal levels, allowing for accurate antenna orientation adjustment.
Constellation Display Function
By treating the signal transmitted from the broadcast station as an ideal value and displaying it as a dot in the center of a square, you can visually grasp the MER quality based on how far the actually received signal deviates from the center.

On the LCN3A and LCN3, holding the power button for too long (2 seconds or more) may trigger an error message and prevent operation. In this case, follow the procedure below to restart the power. Normal operation will be restored.
