This unit can measure digital TV signals for VHF, UHF, BS, CS, and CATV. The LCN3A can also measure the CATV communication band (10–55MHz). Both models have been enhanced with high precision to measure BER and MER values in addition to Maspro's exclusive signal reception confirmation mark, which is highly rated in the market. Other features such as constellation display and interchangeable terminals make this a higher-performance, multi-functional level checker compared to previous models.
■ Background and Intent of Development
Even when terrestrial digital broadcasts reach the proper signal level, signal quality can sometimes deteriorate due to reflected waves or noise, preventing the picture from appearing. To address this, we have incorporated our proprietary high-precision terrestrial digital reception confirmation mark function, which can measure signal quality (BER and MER) in addition to signal level. Furthermore, we have included a function to display MER values both numerically and visually via a constellation display.
Terrestrial Digital Reception Confirmation Mark Display Function (Patent Pending)
When adjusting the direction of a terrestrial digital broadcast antenna, BER and MER values are critical. This unit displays a mark when these values are optimal, allowing for precise antenna orientation.
Constellation Display Function
The signal transmitted from the broadcasting station is considered the ideal value and is displayed as a dot at the center of the square. The deviation of the actually received signal from the center allows for a visual understanding of the MER quality.

If the power button is held for too long (2 seconds or more) on the LCN3A or LCN3, an error message (see symptoms) may appear, making operation impossible. In this case, please follow the steps below to turn the power back on. It will then operate normally.
