　Designer 　Manufacturer

Born in Tokyo. After graduating from Keio University in 1968, he moved to Italy. He worked at the La Rinascente design department in Milan and the Aldo Jacober architectural firm before establishing Casappo & Associates in 1975. He has worked on numerous projects including architectural, interior, and product design.

"Arflex" is one of the premier high-end furniture brands representing Italian modern design, alongside Cassina. The brand name "Arflex" is a combination of "arredamenti" (Italian for furniture) and "flexibility." Its philosophy is rooted in the proposal of rational and dream-inspired living. As the brand name suggests, their design philosophy—pursuing universal values that transcend the passage of time by asking, "What is most appropriate as a tool for living?"—and their products continue to be loved by people all over the world.
