This unit is a testing transmitter/receiver designed primarily for the construction and maintenance of line and switching facilities. It can also be used for communication purposes by providing a DC power supply. Compared to conventional models, this unit features increased sensitivity to improve call quality and is equipped with a balanced circuit network. Furthermore, ease of operation has been significantly improved with the addition of a microswitch for DP pulse generation that can be operated while worn, as well as a selector switch for monitoring. The cord also features a mid-point connector (plug/jack).
Since it hangs around the neck and is fixed under the collar, it can also be used while wearing a helmet.
