The HJS-03 is a tool for stripping the coating from multi-fiber optical fiber ribbons ranging from 2 to 12 fibers. The coating is heated and softened, allowing it to be easily removed.
In addition to being powered by a Fujikura fusion splicer, it can operate on six AAA nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) or alkaline batteries.
