The FSM-17R is a compact fusion splicer capable of splicing single-core and multi-core optical fibers of up to 4 cores.
Its two-way observation makes it easy for anyone to achieve high-quality, highly reliable splices, and it can be used in a wide range of applications from backbone networks to aerial installations.
The new mechanism makes setting up optical fibers "easy".
It also significantly shortens the standard splicing and reinforcement heating times, greatly contributing to reducing splicing work time.
To accommodate various splicing work environments, we have provided slot-in AC adapters and batteries.
When using the optional high-capacity battery, up to 140 splices are possible per charge.
