■The 12R is an ultra-compact, lightweight, V-groove fixed multi-fiber fusion splicer capable of splicing single fibers and optical fibers with up to four cores.
■Compared with previous models, it is smaller and lighter and offers numerous performance improvements, including a faster heater, longer battery life, and enhanced environmental durability.
■The carrying case has also been made more compact and multifunctional, further improving ease of use.

The 12R is a groundbreaking optical fiber fusion splicer featuring a reliable two-axis viewing system in a slim design with a maximum thickness of 57 mm that fits in the palm of your hand, and an exceptionally compact, lightweight package weighing just 776 g.
Developed with an emphasis on improving workability, it features a design suited to the confined and elevated work areas typical of FTTH (Fiber To The Home) installations now underway around the world in response to growing internet traffic. Other improvements include a standard work platform for convenient on-site use, shorter heating times for reinforcement sleeves, a newly developed large-capacity lithium-ion battery, over three times the operating time of the previous model thanks to its energy-efficient design, and a 4.47-inch large LCD monitor—the largest in its class.
The carrying case has also been improved for ease of use, not only by making it more compact but also by designing it so fusion splicing can begin as soon as the lid is opened, reducing equipment setup time.
