■Specifications

The FID-26R is the successor to the FID-20R/21R, a small fiber core identifier that has gained popularity as a standard device for telecommunications construction. In addition to the conventional R30 SM fiber, it is applicable to R15 SM fiber, achieving a significant improvement in core identification and live-wire detection performance. It is a product that balances improved characteristics, functions, and ease of use to meet a wide range of customer needs through various design improvements.

The FID-26R is one of the essential tools for building and maintaining fiber-optic networks that support safe, high-quality FTTH broadband services.

● 8–15 dB sensitivity improvement
The newly designed bending section achieves high sensitivity with low insertion loss. It can measure even fiber-optic cables with low light leakage.
● Approximately 15 dB improvement in light separation performance
The new digital filter can detect even weak contrast light. It can extract contrast light even in the presence of strong background light.
● 15 selectable measurement modes, including live-wire detection ON/OFF
It features various measurement modes, including simultaneous core identification and live-wire detection & display mode, and a core identification-only mode.
● No need to replace the bending section
The new bending section can identify fiber cores without replacement, from 025-core fiber to 3 mm cords and even 12-core ribbon fiber.
● Measurement with a short lead length
It can measure with a lead length 10 mm shorter than conventional models. This improves usability in places where sufficient lead length cannot be secured, such as cable branches and inside enclosures.

Measurement wavelength: 900–1700 nm
Measurement light/contrast light: 270 Hz/1 kHz/2 kHz (square wave, duty 50±10%)
Optical power measurement range: Unmodulated light or communication light with a modulation frequency of approximately 100 MHz
Applicable fiber: φ0.25 mm single-core fiber, 2–12-core ribbon fiber, φ1.1–3.0 mm fiber cords
