The FID-25R is the successor to the compact fiber identifier models FID-20R/21R, widely acclaimed as the standard for telecommunications construction equipment. In addition to conventional R30 SM fibers, it also supports R15 SM fibers, delivering significantly improved performance for fiber identification and live-fiber detection. This product combines enhanced characteristics and functionality with ease of use, incorporating a variety of features to meet the broad needs of customers.

The FID-25R is an indispensable tool for building and maintaining optical fiber networks that support safe, high-quality FTTH broadband services.

● 8–15 dB greater sensitivity
The newly designed bend section achieves high sensitivity with low insertion loss. It can measure even optical fibers that are difficult to detect light from.
● Approximately 15 dB improvement in optical separation performance
The new digital filter can detect even weak identification light. It can extract the identification light even when there is strong background light.
● Built-in power meter supporting up to +10 dBm
Measures higher optical power and supports measurements of a wide variety of optical system equipment.
● 15 selectable measurement modes, including live-fiber detection ON/OFF
Features various measurement modes, including simultaneous fiber identification and live-fiber detection with display, and fiber identification only.
● No need to replace the bend section
The newly designed bend section enables fiber identification without replacement, from 0.25 mm single fibers to 3 mm cords and 12-fiber ribbon cables.
● Measurement with a shorter free length
Measurements can be made with 10 mm less free length than with previous models. This improves usability in locations where sufficient free length is unavailable, such as cable branches and inside closures.
