The FID-25R is the successor to the compact fiber identifier FID-20R/21R, which has been well received as a standard tool for telecommunications installation work. In addition to conventional R30 SM fibers, it also supports R15 SM fibers, significantly improving fiber identification and live-fiber detection performance. Designed to meet a wide range of customer needs, this product combines enhanced characteristics and functionality with ease of use.

The FID-25R is an indispensable tool for building and maintaining optical fiber networks that support safe, high-quality FTTH broadband services.

● 8–15 dB improved sensitivity
The newly designed bending section achieves high sensitivity with low insertion loss. It can measure even optical fibers that allow little light to escape.
● Approximately 15 dB improvement in optical signal separation
The new digital filter can detect even weak identifying light. It can extract the identifying light even in the presence of strong background light.
● Built-in power meter measuring up to +10 dBm
Measures higher optical power, supporting measurements of increasingly diverse optical system equipment.
● 15 selectable measurement modes, including live-fiber detection ON/OFF
Includes a variety of measurement modes, such as simultaneous fiber identification and live-fiber detection with display, and fiber identification only.
● No need to replace the bending section
The new bending section design enables fiber identification without replacement, from 0.25 mm fibers and 3 mm cords to 12-fiber ribbon cables.
● Measures with shorter fiber slack
Can measure with 10 mm less slack than the previous model. Easier to use where sufficient slack is unavailable, such as at cable branches and inside closures.
