By using the DSP-FTA440 Fiber Test Adapter and the DSP-4000 CableAnalyzer together, you can perform installation testing and certification of fiber optic cables.
The Fiber Test Adapter has the following features:
●The Autotest function allows you to measure optical power loss, fiber length, and propagation delay in dual-fiber multimode links. It provides pass/fail results based on standard fiber testing specifications.
●Built-in support for SFF (Small Form Factor) link testing.
●Monitors 850nm, 1300nm, 1310nm, and 1550nm light output from light sources such as test equipment and optical interface cards.
●Transmits or receives light to quickly perform continuity testing.
●Explains the correct fiber connection method on the help screen.
●Verifies optical connectivity with the FindFiber function.
●Two-way voice communication is possible on the tested fiber. (However, one pair of DSP-FTA4XX of the same model and two headsets included with the DSP-4000 are required.)
●Fiber test results can be saved, printed, or uploaded to a PC.
