Automatic Compensation Mechanism
In addition to conventional vertical automatic compensation, it features a built-in 2-axis automatic compensation mechanism that simultaneously compensates for horizontal angles. This mechanism automatically compensates for leveling errors caused by insufficient machine leveling or large tilt angles during angle measurements, enabling high-precision angular measurements in all environments.
Distance Measurement Capability 1: High Precision and Wide Range
Achieves class-leading distance measurement accuracy of ±(3mm + 2ppm)m.s.e. The measurement range is also generous: 550m with pinhole prisms and 1,100m with a single prism.

Equipped with a "Serial Signal Interface (RS-232C)" that can connect directly to the FC5 data collector. It supports the collection of observation data and surveying using coordinate data from a computer using the FC5, fully supporting the systematization of surveying.
・Comprehensive Application Measurement Function 1: Opposite Side Measurement (MLM)
Prisms can be placed at two points that cannot be directly sighted, allowing the continuous measurement of the horizontal distance, slope distance, and height difference between those two points without moving the machine.
・Comprehensive Application Measurement Function 2: Real-Time REM Measurement (Remote Elevation Measurement)
It can measure the vertical distance (height) of high-voltage transmission lines, bridges, and other locations far from the ground where prisms cannot be installed.
・Comprehensive Application Measurement Function 3: Sighting Offset Measurement
When observing the center of trees, utility poles, or the center of walls where a prism cannot be directly installed, measurements can be taken by offsetting the line of sight.
・Surveying 1: Standard Surveying
By entering the coordinates of the installation point during stake-out work, it indicates the position with the horizontal angle and horizontal distance from a known point.
・Surveying 2: Surveying When the Traverse Point Cannot Be Sighted
A new point that can sight the survey point can be set up on site.
・Surveying 3: Can Input 600 Installation Point Coordinates
The unit's memory can store 600 installation point coordinate data, allowing survey work to be carried out very efficiently if entered in advance.
