Regardless of whether it is a 2-stroke or 4-stroke gasoline engine, this exhaust gas tester can continuously measure the concentration of hydrocarbons (HC) or carbon monoxide (CO) in the exhaust gas emitted from a vehicle at idle simply by inserting the sampling probe into the exhaust pipe. While the analysis method is the Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) method throughout, the detector utilizes a new type of solid-state sensor that is smaller and higher-performing than conventional models.
